Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides simple, easy-to-learn techniques for the at-home cook on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. The chef Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. She also has explored Italy's cuisine and the culture of Italy, and the surrounding environment. While living in the the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. After earning an English and Communications degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is a wonderful experience. Culinary Institute of America was an excellent place to study. Following graduation, Chef Burrell lived in Italy for a whole year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) in Tuscany. Burrell gained a greater understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions while in Italy and this has affected her cooking style. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the lives of kids who are facing difficulties. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. In her capacity as an inspirational speaker, she is on the road to talk about her love of cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has always said I feel so lucky to be able to share what I love most to others.
