American actor Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. Her career began with supporting roles in the teenage comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). On the FX series Dirt in which she was Willa McPherson as reporter. She was also in the role of an assistant on the short-lived show The Ex List. She starred as a young Moira O'Hara in the debut season of FX's American Horror Story, and was Kaylee in the third season. She portrayed Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She is a voice actor in the show Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019she has been on the show as Melinda "Mel" Monroe an actress on the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge grew up in Darien, Connecticut until she was 10 when her mother and her relocated to California [1The couple lived there for a while before settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 when she started to develop an interest in acting, photography and singing. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of 15 to pursue an acting career.
